Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
For more than 20 years, the Susan G. Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation has been a global
leader in the fight against breast cancer
through its support of innovative research and
community based outreach programs. Working
through a network of U.S. and international
Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for
the Cure®, the Komen Foundation is fighting to
eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening
disease by funding research grants and
supporting education, screening and treatment
projects in communities around the world. |

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s mission is to
enhance the lives of children through excellence
in patient care, research and education. From
performing liver transplants, to helping
patients keep up with their schoolwork, to
building medical clinics in convenient
locations, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
strives to be the model for addressing
children's health needs by defining, then
providing or advocating for: accessible,
innovative and excellent patient care;
integrated teaching and research; and
partnerships in wellness and prevention
programs. |

The Ronald McDonald House
Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities , Inc.,
creates, finds and supports programs that
directly improve the health and well-being of
children. The cornerstone program, the Atlanta
Ronald McDonald Houses, began in Atlanta in 1979
with the opening of the first House. A second
House opened in 1994, and together the two
houses provide a combined total of 27 bedrooms
to families with children in Atlanta hospitals.
Each year more than 1,000 families call these
Houses Home. |
